🗣️ Basic Operation

Activating Alexa

Simply say “Alexa” followed by your command.

Example:

“Alexa, play jazz music”

Stopping Alexa

  • “Alexa, stop” - Ends the current action
  • “Alexa, quieter” - Reduces volume
  • “Alexa, louder” - Increases volume

  • “Alexa, wake me up in 8 hours”

The Amazon Echo is located in the living room on the sideboard.

🔇 Privacy

Turning Off the Microphone

If you don’t want to use voice control:

  1. Press the microphone button on the device
  2. A red ring indicates that the microphone is disabled
  3. Press again to reactivate the microphone

💡 Tip: With the microphone disabled, Alexa won’t respond to voice commands.

⚠️ Notes

🌐 Languages: Alexa understands German and English. Unfortunately, Polish is not supported.

📝 Please note: Alexa is not connected to your personal Amazon account. Purchases and personal settings are not possible.

🔊 Quiet hours: Please be considerate of other guests and keep the volume low at night.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Alexa Doesn’t Respond

  1. Check if the device is turned on (glowing ring)
  2. Check if the microphone is enabled (no red ring)
  3. Speak clearly and at normal volume
  4. Make sure you start with “Alexa”

Poor Music Quality

  1. “Alexa, louder” - Increase the volume
  2. Check the WiFi connection
  3. Restart the device (unplug/plug in power)
